Dr. Kevin Chan graduated in 1991 from King’s College, London University in England and earned his degree in Dental Surgery (BDS). After graduating from King’s College London, his first post was in Restorative Dentistry and the Emergency Dental Clinic at the University of Bristol Dental Hospital in the South West of England. This was followed by a residency in Accident and Emergency Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1993 at the Royal London Hospital, St Bartolomew’s Hospital Trust.
In 1994, Dr. Chan attended the orthodontic residency program at Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester, New York. This residency is a full time ADA (American Dental Association) accredited orthodontic training program which he completed in 1996. Whilst in Rochester and under Professor Ross Tallents, Dr Chan had extensive training and experience in the treatment of TMD and since has treated hundreds of TMD cases with success over the past 20 years.
Dr Chan first came to Shanghai in 1998 and is the founder of the Department of Orthodontics at Parkway Health (formerly known as Worldlink). In 1999, Dr Chan founded the American Orthodontic Group in Hong Kong and over the past 20 years, he has successfully treated around 10,000 cases to date with excellent clincial results and client satisfaction.
Dr Chan is US board certified, as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). Only one out of three orthodontist trained in the US is US board certified, so choosing a US board certified orthodontist gives you the peace of mind that you are getting the highest quality of orthodontic care.
He is an expert in early orthodontic treatment, standard and self ligation metal and ceramic braces treatment, lingual inside braces treatment (Incognito), TMJ therapy and Aligner treatment (Invisalign).
